Dunbar Saxophone Quartet
The Dunbar Saxophone Quartet musicians are (L to R) Mike Morch, Soprano Saxophone, Suzanne Marshall, Alto Saxophone, Dale Kane, Tenor Saxophone, and Dan Hurlow, Baritone Saxophone.
The Dunbar Saxophone Quartet (DSQ) is a performing ensemble of the PWCB that can provide sophisticated music for any occasion in or near Prince William County, VA. The quartet is named for the street where they practice in Dale City. With a library of nearly 400 selections, including classical transcriptions, ethnic, jazz, swing, ragtime, folk, patriotic, pop oldies, Christmas, and original compositions for sax quartet, the DSQ can entertain audiences of all ages. Some of our favorite pieces are Ulla In Africa, Mary Did You Know, Heads Up, Alexanders’s Ragtime Band, Dance of the Buffoons, Don’t Worry Be Happy, Americana Suite, Irish Suite, The Iberia Suite, Fly Me to the Moon, and Fugue in G.
The DSQ has performed concerts at local retirement communities, libraries and a bookstore, background music at the Patriot Center prior to the graduation ceremony for the School of Information Technology and Engineering, chamber music for a wedding reception at the Officer’s Club at Fort Belvoir, background music for the Literacy Volunteers Recognition Dinner, a large Christmas party, and a Manassas Museum fundraiser and open house. The DSQ often performs at Prince William Community Band concerts.
